Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema, alongside Thai rapper LISA and Brazilian singer Anitta, has released “Goals”, the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA announced the release in a post on its X handle, revealing that the trio will also perform the song at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Los Angeles, United States.
According to FIFA, the anthem is now available on major streaming platforms and combines Afrobeats, K-pop, and Latin pop influences, reflecting the diversity and excitement of the global football tournament.
The upbeat track focuses on themes of confidence, ambition, victory, and celebration, with the artistes delivering verses inspired by football passion and global youth culture. FIFA also explained that the phrase “scoring goals” is used metaphorically to represent pursuing dreams, overcoming challenges, and achieving success.
The multicultural single has attracted widespread global attention since its release, driven by fan-led streaming campaigns in multiple countries.

On Spotify, “Goals” earned prominent placements on playlists such as “New Music Friday Afrobeats,” “Hot Hits Nigeria,” and “Global Pulse.” Shortly after its release, the track also became the most-searched new song on Shazam, gaining significant traction across Southeast Asia, West Africa, and South America.
At the moment, the official music video, which debuted on FIFA’s verified YouTube channel, amassed over three million views and received more than 400,000 likes within its first 24 hours.
