At the weekend’s combined convocation of four sets of graduates at the Benue State University (BSU) in Makurdi, Ortom made the comment in his speech.

“There is no denying that education continues to be the only permanent solution to the countless problems that mankind faces. 

80 percent of the problems our nation faces are mostly the result of a lack of education. 
 Whether it be the attacks on farming towns by herders, based on the challenges facing Nigeria at the moment Education requires Emergency in all the states of the federation if we want to overcome our challenges presently and in the future.
