The governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government’s strategy to redesign Naira notes is more than just a scheme to thwart presidential ambitions; it also aims to stifle democracy even after the World Bank and IMF faulted the policy.

The Forum of Former Parliamentarians, North-West zone, who came to inform Ganduje of their decision to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress’ bid for the presidency, spoke to him late on Wednesday (APC).
