Ezekiel was able to surpass Rasel Islam of Bangladesh’s previous Guinness World Record of 262 skips in a minute with 265 skips. As the first athlete from Ondo State to do so since the establishment of the state in 1976, Ezekiel smashed the record.

The young man also holds the record for becoming the first rope captain from either Africa or Nigeria. The accomplishment was shared with Nigeria’s national rope skipping coach, Chubuisi Ukandu, and updated on the Guinness World Records.
